A Breakthrough in Education

PATH: Purposeful, Active, Transformative, Holistic Education

A global movement reimagining how children learn. PATH is not a program to plug in, it’s a movement you join.

One that puts children at the center, and makes learning faster, deeper, and filled with joy.

PATH moves away from long teacher talk and brings in peer-to-peer learning where children learn with and from each other. Backed by GETI’s training and field evidence, teachers facilitate; learners do, talk, think, create.

What Makes PATH Different?

PATH isn't a new textbook or training. It's a radical shift in what classrooms can be.

  • Learning that's interactive, not passive
  • Students as doers, explainers, and helpers not just note-takers
  • A structure that builds thinking, confidence, and agency
  • Teachers facilitate growth instead of dictating content

What Does a PATH Classroom Feel Like?

It’s noisy but with purpose. Every child speaks. Every child listens.

What you'll notice:

  • Kids huddled in pairs, taking turns to explain
  • Quick checks for understanding
  • Peer correction that's gentle, and empowering
  • Teacher as coach, not content deliverer
  • A space that feels like learning, not just schooling

Why Schools Are Choosing PATH?

  • Works in any setting from under resourced classrooms to tech-rich campuses
  • No new infrastructure needed just smarter teaching
  • Dramatically boosts engagement, comprehension, and joy
  • Aligns with NEP 2020 and builds 21st century skills
  • Simple to implement, with strong teacher support and training

About the Creator

Dr. Sunita Gandhi, PhD Cambridge, is an educator, researcher, and innovator with 30+ years of global work in education reform. She is the founder of the Global Education & Training Institute (GETI) and Dignity Education Vision International (DEVI), and the Chief Academic Advisor at City Montessori School, Lucknow.

The Essence of PATH

At the heart of PATH lies a unique integration of key skills and values. We cultivate essential skills such as Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity, while simultaneously nurturing values like Character, Citizenship, Climate-Consciousness, and Connectedness. These elements are not taught as separate subjects but are seamlessly woven into everyday classroom learning, following global frameworks like the OECD Learning Compass and India's NEP 2020.

Empowered Teachers, Energized Classrooms

The PATH 1+5+4+5 Model offers a range of benefits that directly support teachers in their day-to-day teaching experience. It simplifies lesson planning by providing a clear and structured framework for every session, reducing preparation time. With its built-in routines like daily random pairing and step-by-step learning cycles, classroom management becomes easier and more engaging for students.

Smarter Assessments with Hi PATH App

Becomes a tool for growth rather than a stress point. Through this system, teachers and parents receive instant feedback on student progress. The app scans OMR sheets to provide real-time insights, enabling personalized support for each learner without increasing the workload of teachers. This results in less paperwork and more effective, focused teaching.

Look at most classrooms, even the so-called progressive ones, and you will still find the same old rhythm: fixed timetables, 45-minute periods, a curriculum that keeps moving whether children are ready or not.

Frequently asked questions

PATH stands for Purposeful, Active, Transformative and Holistic Education. It is a research-based pedagogy designed to help students from KG to Grade 8 achieve learning outcomes of one grade higher through paired learning, interactive, and joyful learning methods.

Unlike conventional teacher-led instruction, PATH is student-driven. Children learn in pairs and small groups, building on what they already know. It reduces rote learning and increases engagement, retention, and real understanding.

PATH can be integrated into your current school timetable with flexibility. It works well as the core teaching approach or as a dedicated innovation period. Implementation support is provided for smooth integration.

Currently, PATH is designed for Grades KG to 8, covering English, Maths and Hindi [Or other regional language] through an interdisciplinary approach.

The Hi Path App provides instant, topic-wise feedback and performance reports. It helps students, teachers, and parents track progress and identify gaps in real-time.

You can start with a pilot in one or two grades. DEVI Sansthan supports you with training, materials, assessments, and review mechanisms during the pilot phase. Here you can implement in some classes and experience the difference.

PATH helps improve academic outcomes, classroom engagement, and parental satisfaction. Implementing PATH also positions your school as a leader in innovative education, committed to quality and equity.

Just 2–3 days of core training to get started. Ongoing handholding, video support, and session planning tools are provided.

PATH builds the core learning outcomes (LOs) that all boards require. It's a foundation-first approach, not a replacement for curriculum — it makes it easier to meet syllabus demands.
